While on the "Today" show, her former co-hosts Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie, and Carson Daly were all dying to know more about her relationship and asked her to share more about her love life. Although Kathie admitted that their relationship was going well, she did not want to jinx things after mentioning it. In the meantime, Kathie hopes that her kids will soon have offspring of their own to expand their family. "One day, the Lord might bless us with little tiny feet running around" — but recognized "that's in God's hands," she said.
Kathie Lee Gifford often shows up before the camera with a big smile on her face, making her viewers feel engaged with the program she is on. However, behind her smile was a woman who felt immense loneliness following her husband, Frank Gifford's, passing. Thinking she needed a new atmosphere, she purchased a home in 2018 and moved to a gorgeous $3.7 million Nashville home in 2019. Gifford retired from the "Today" show in April 2019, after 11 years of serving as one of its hosts. She bought another one in July 2019, reportedly costing her $3.7 million.
But after Frank's death in 2015, Kathie Lee found it hard to live in the home her family of four once shared, so she made a solo move to Nashville to give herself a fresh start. Six years after Frank's passing, she told People that her son Cody and his wife, Erika Brown, are making new memories in the family's Connecticut mansion. "My son and his wife live there now," the former "TODAY" co-host said.
